Absurdity

Smoke and the Withered Ground

By Ryan WelchPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Absurdity:

Crimson eyes

Piercing through the veil

Unchanged lives

Float along the fog

Settle and cry

Oh son of sun

I found crystal beams below

Mountain halls of white

Radiating brilliance

Above the ashes of yesterday

Within our solace the tower falls

Oh cascadia

All my scars from all the stars

Is worth the bronze filling my lungs

Perched atop her thrall

Midnight raven beckons

Her heart is broken

But did it ever start

Oh hell’s high water

Crawl past insufferable, sulfurous, weak

Broken hands

And they weep ever more
