Ally, aura, awe

Bask, beau, best, bond, boo, brio

Calm, care, cozy, cute

Dear, dote

Eye, eyes

Fate, feel, fit, fond, full, fun

Gift, give, give and take, glee, good, glow

Hear, hope, hug

In, in love

Jest, join, just

Kiss

Like, lust

My

Need

Oath, one and only

Play, pure

Qin, que, qua

Rapt, ring

Soft,

True, true love

Urge

Vow

Want, wish

Xo

Yes, you

Zeal, zest.

Writer's notes: Love is associated with the heart, mind, and soul. Thinking of a comforting love alphabet soup, my ABC poem is a simple form of this type of acrostic. The poem is also known as an abecedarium poem. Simply, the first letter of every verse follows the alphabetic order.

The Prompt

Write a love poem using only words with four letters or less.

Embrace the beauty of brevity to create a heartfelt love poem using only words with four letters or less. This constraint encourages you to find creative ways to express the complexities of love with the seemingly simplest vocabulary. All forms of poetry are welcome.

In order for your submission to qualify, it must be:

A love poem that uses only words that are four (4) letters or less.

Thank you for reading! You are appreciated!

Aloha

Babs this was so creative and fun! Each line felt like it's own little tautogram, but was still on theme for the overall poem! Great work!
