Abacus of the Gods ÷ 2

Limerick(s) of the Week

By Gerard DiLeoPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read
You forgot to carry the one.

The god of wine wanted to spread

His seed with a mortal, alone in her bed

She conceived, for him, a son

Who did the math on Mum

But you can't divide a god by a zed

.

His abacus' quotient was demigodly

When assigned to genetic methodology

So he divided to conquer

Extrapolating yonder

And multiplied his progeny's mythology

.

His offspring came from romances

Via irrational numbered advances

He said he was full

And not -demi, until

His line stretched in quartered expanses

.

His bloodline was salaciously intent

To increase Olympic fractions' ascent

If only they could lay

A full goddess every day

The bastards could pass 60 percent
