When people kept saying "America is not ready for a female president," I couldn't believe it. But now two formidable women have been rejected in recent races, both in favor of a billionaire conman. I wonder if another woman will ever run again. Pam Bundi, perhaps, of Lara Trump? Or, God save us all, MTG?

Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.

I would love to see a woman elected as President during my lifetime - though I cannot say the same if the ones aforementioned run in the future.

Hey Lana. I love your political posts. They really make me think. Got to be honest though, I don’t think there was any chance Kamala was going to win. Is it possible to go from being the most unpopular vice president in recent times to being crowned president? Have heard some terrible things about Hilary Clinton from my military buddies so I’m very conflicted about her. I hope a woman does make it to your highest office in the land - hopefully it won’t be MTG though. What an absolutely horrific thought.
