A web of lies

an uncaged heart

By Jennisea RedfieldPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Your deceitful eyes imprison me.

Uncaring soul,

Too vile to be.

Your honeyed words, like dripping venom.

Deceptive tongue,

That leaves me numb.

You left me raw and bleeding,

I cannot seem to flee.

A web of lies,

Your spider-like smile.

An oily grin,

Seen from a mile.

Give me a reason to suddenly flee,

I want to drown,

lost at sea.

You sliced me up,

A ravenous fiend!

Killed my vibe!

stole my dream!

Give me just one thing,

I want to hear you scream.

Its a trap of lies,

A web of flies,

A spider’s veil,

A singular hell.

Now just look at me!

Scarred and wistful.

But I am

Finally, free.

From your trap of lies,

Of the arachnoid grin.

A nest of pain,

But now there is freedom within.

You are now

Finally gone.

It is now time to

Move along.

I am alive,

I have survived.

I am here,

And you’re nowhere.

I am free!

No more hating.

no more grief,

And you are

No longer

With...

Me.
