Only Human.

I am only human...

By Jennisea RedfieldPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I am not a perfect being.

I have scars,

I have wrinkles.

I have dips in my thighs,

Stars in my eyes.

My stomach is pouched,

My hair is greying.

My teeth are off-white,

My hands rough.

I’m only human.

I will make mistakes,

I will make them

over and over again.

I will trip up,

Fuck up,

Mess up.

Because that's who I am.

Thats what I am.

I’m only human.

I will make mistakes.

I am not beautiful.

Not in the sense of

Stardom.

My flesh is flawed,

Scarred.

My heart is jaded,

Has been broken,

Shattered,

Glued together

Like kintsugi.

But...

I am only human.

I will shatter again.

I’m not perfect,

Not inside,

Not outside.

No one is.

I’m only human.

And so are you....
