A turn of events

Plot change.

By Jordan ZunigaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

A bright and sunny day, the peak hour of constant trade,

Hopeful in my heart, neither discouraged nor dismayed,

With a turn of my head, I notice her, a sight not seen before,

Looking at her quality, lovely, I adore,

Her eyes turned to notice me, I neither falter, nor turn away,

A subtle smile, a flash, much that is yet to prove,

A response of good pleasure, her smile shows she approves,

Slowly striding towards her location, she glides right through her hair,

A subtle gesture outreached, discretion to show, “I care,”

Through timing and precision, through consistency, our hearts would bend,

The one I would call my own, the one I would call, “friend.”
