There is a thunder storm inside my heart,
Rumbling around as the tears fall down.
I haven’t be fully listening to my heart,
And now she’s having trouble walking up to start.
For months she’s been urging me on,
To act before everything is good and gone.
I have been listening to my brain,
And how she thinks I might be insane.
Going about each day, thinking things will some how change.
And well I have start changes so small. She laughs when I am estrange.
I battle between brain and heart.
That my soul wants to step in and demand we restart.
And let the storm rage forth from my body,
And release what’s all been hiding.
If change is what I was wanting,
Then I must be willing to break from the mold.
Let go of society that I once exalted,
The one that took dreams and cut them from reality.
Think back to what I wanted most,
And hope that it not yet a ghost.
Create a flow of my very own,
Wear scars and colors with great pride.
To rewrite the journey,
And make my own story.
