Life,

It cuts through you like a knife

And takes you down while in a disguise

You try your hardest to fight

With no-one by your side

All you want to do is fly

Fly to where you will never be found

While everyone is still on the ground

Fly to that one guy

Who holds you while you cry

Even after yall fight

He'll never walk out and leave you to die

Life it cuts through you like a knife

But all you can do is try to survive

sad poetry

About the Creator

ALEXIS Harris

My name is Alexis. I’m 16 and striving to be a poet. After being locked up for 7 months, I learned to face my emotions instead of hiding them. Poetry became my voice, my healing, and my way to grow. Writing turned my pain into purpose.
