A song for my siblings
This poem was written in June 2020 and is about being LGBT and how we all suffer from abuse and discrimination; we are all brothers and sisters irrespective of our skin tones and the importance of tolerance and love.

Pauline at an event in Manchester (England)
I am not black I am not brown
Nor yellow nor other shades
I am white
With privilege
I am not handicapped
Nor in a wheelchair
I am white
With privilege
I am English
I am European
I am white
With privilege
I am trans
I am old
I am white
With privilege
I suffer too
I suffer from hate
I suffer from discrimination
I am white
I have no choice
You have no choice
My brothers and sisters
We are all the same
Hate destroys and kills
Tolerance wins
Love conquers
We are all the same
We fight for justice
We fight for breath
We care
We link arms
Being black, brown, yellow or white
Is never a choice
Nor is being LGBT
We are who we are
Stand proud
Embrace all your siblings
Throw away hate
Look in the mirror
And smile...with love.
