“A Soldier Returned Home”
A soldier returned home tonight
In a white hearse sad, solemn scene
Deserts of Iraq, he met his plight
He wrote about "The friendly and
Beautiful of all, the children"
There was a salute from the city
A commendable, young man fought
For his country and we are proud
A hostile land that he sought
To free a people, from an evil, and
There's an irony, we should appall
This land harbors similar ills and evils
Subtle, in different forms, up high
Down low, streets near and abroad
His fight continues…World Peace
