Hiding what words cannot say

Just be yourself, that’s what they say

Dare to be different

No, not like that — you’re just too weird

Please keep that bottled up

* * *

Relax and smile, no need to fear

Let’s see the inner you

Just so long as we approve

For we decide what’s normal

* * *

Don’t be quiet, don’t be shy

Let’s spend the whole day chatting

Your turn to talk — is that the time?

I’ve suddenly lost interest

* * *

What’s the matter, what has happened?

Why do you look glum?

To be well-liked, please paint a smile

Now isn’t that much better?

* * *

Enough pretence, enough fake smiles

They drain away my strength

From now on, let me be me

You‘re not the judge and jury

* * *
