A Sarcasm Meme Limerick

I have been on the receiving end of sarcasm my entire married life...and I've had four wifes. Go figure.

Sarcasm refers to the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say, especially in order to insult someone, or to show irritation, or just to be funny.

There is something about a (less than?) subtle slap in the face, that stings more than a direct verbal beat down. I have had lots of both. They both suck.

Sarcasm is a way to convey

An insult in a veiled clever way.

But it’s not sugar coated,

And it is often quoted

As it’s considered to be repartee.

Repartee – quick and usually funny answers and remarks in conversation.
