A River That Won't Stop

Verses of love and leaving

By Rohitha LankaPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

As I go,

I taste the breeze, break it, and close it.

What has become of it?

My heart is tired, and I have come and gone.

In a moment,

I will close it.

You are more beautiful than me.

Even if you become a star, you will be the fruit of my sleeping eyes.

How many stars are there?

You do not bloom for a moment.

In a strange place, a familiar house.

The river of love that flows cannot be stopped.

The coconut oil lamp that I have lit will be extinguished.

My heart will tell you that I am near you.

I am still angry.

There are verses that no one can recite.
