If Beauty Were Enough

Questions for a false ideal

By Rohitha LankaPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

If there is no bigun, the fruit tree will be beautiful

The face is like a hundred faces, if not😁

If the lips are like a pair of leaves

Why is there so much lift

If her mouth is like a crow's voice

If the gods can be taught by a voice

If the other gods can be taken in a handful

Why did you write so many lies

If the two legs are beautiful like a swan

Why is it carved for a cripple to travel

If she is not able to get on the cart wheel

If she is so tired, God's

She is on a diet, her beautiful face is beautiful

The swan couple is now more beautiful

The steps have been taken wrongly, Purasam

Otherwise, I don't know about her

This poem feels playful and mysterious—like a riddle wrapped in beauty. There’s a strange charm in its contradictions.
