A Rainbow of Painted Smiles
Just hope the rain keeps its self at bay

A Rainbow of Painted Smiles
They line the walls like portraits do,
each grin a masterpiece for you
don’t brush too hard and colors run,
revealing tears beneath the sun.
Scarlet joy on lips stretched tight,
violet secrets in plain sight.
Yellow laughs that never ring,
green with envy, suffering.
The gallery glows in practiced light,
but shadows curl just out of sight.
Every smile, a silent scream,
a fractured truth in pastel dream.
Don’t touch the glass—it might betray
the price they paid to look okay.
A thousand shades to mask the pain,
a rainbow born from acid rain.

Oh this took a turn from a beautiful prism to glass that cuts with a razor blade. That ending - it burns.
