Summer Time And Life Is fun

The green leaves swayed with a summer breeze,

buzz of bees and birds in trees.

Warmth spilled down from cloudless skies,

summer had arrived, no disguise.

Soft clouds like candy drifting by,

melting slow in a sugar-high sky.

Laughter spilled from a nearby swing,

tiny feet brushing air like spring.

Ice cream dripped on little hands,

running wild through golden lands.

Butterflies danced in patches of sun,

every heartbeat matched the fun.

Shoes were lost to barefoot games,

chalk drawings, hopscotch names.

The breeze told secrets through the air,

stories only children dare.

Daylight lingered, bold and bright,

refusing to give in to night.

Magic hummed in each warm ray,

summer stretched another day.
