A Polite Invitation

by Sam Harty

By ᔕᗩᗰ ᕼᗩᖇTYPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Come to

my window

have a glass of wine

you must see that

I think of you almost

all the time.

-o-

Join me

in the garden

come sit and talk awhile

and I'll try to hide the fact

of what you're doing to me

with your smile.

-o-

Stay awhile

but I warn you

never touch my hand

because then everything

I'm feeling you'd suddenly

understand.

This was pretty. Just pretty. And I often find that writing something that is just so pure and pretty is very hard to do. Well done, Sam, this made me smile a lot.
