A Poem About Us

We weren’t put onto this planet to make laws or to fight

we were here to live peacefully, and to live is our right

we weren’t meant for sadness, and to feel we've no worth

we are here to spread kindness and to inherit this earth

laws were not meant to bind us, We are here to learn

to forgive, as one day it just might be our turn

to commit such a sin, as we learn lessons well

and in our other lives we must have tails to tell

if we could just remember mistakes that we make

we could help one another on paths that we take

but we forget our lessons from our previous life

we forget all our troubles the heartache and strife

and come back reborn in a world we don't know

and we forget the faces that always reshow

We judge and we hurt instead of making things right

never really quite giving our love and our light

maybe that’s the lesson we all need to learn

to inherit the planet and the peace that we yearn
