A Place to Hide

Little Girl in a big world

By Seashell Harpspring Published 3 years ago 1 min read

A place to hide

Behind the closet doors

Cornered by a bookshelf

Down under the covers

Everywhere and every place, a tunnel or a tower

Finding somewhere to be alone

Getting overwhelmed out there

Holing up in the small spaces

In the playground and arcade

Just above, below, or behind

Knowing what is happening by watching

Learning through a lens, the little girl in a big world

Making little noise while looking

No one can find her as she changes spots

Over others in a plastic tube

Peeping through while holding on to a little teddy bear

Question for you, where is the girl with he teddy bear?

Realizing after a while they haven't seen her

She likes to borough to avoid heading home

The plastic and rubber spots comforting

Uninterested in playing with the others but

Very uninterested in leaving

Why does she want to be in the middle?

Xylophones and toys are plenty

Yet go home and there is only TV to escape

Zeal for what is outside the life of the tiny box
