The Excitement in the air
Slowly dwindling down
Brushing back my hair
Knowing life may make me feel drown
Then the laughter
The light of a child's smile
My day becoming lighter
Even if for a small while
The gentle hugs felt
Feeling the warmest and sweetest of touch
Fueling myself to not wilt
By the love that gives me a crutch
Though the Rainbows and brightness we see
Holds so much excitement
The love and joy my little ones give me
Brings so much fulfillment
Though I know there is more to this life
That can be seen in other ways
I don't feel the strife
Even though it may seem like a maze
