A New Emotion Is Mine
The First Touch of a Feeling I Never Knew

When I wake, it waits for me—
a feeling shaped by shadowed sea.
Not the same as yesterday,
but born anew in softer grey.
Every night, it slips unknown
into the quiet of my bone.
Every day, it dares to change—
a tender ghost that feels so strange.
Not sorrow’s weight, nor joy’s bright flame,
but something raw I cannot name.
It lingers like an unheard tune,
between the sunrise and the moon.
It writes itself beneath my skin,
a diary where dreams begin.
I breathe it in like morning light,
then weep it out in falling night.
A bloom that breaks, a wind that hums,
a drumbeat from where silence comes—
I do not chase it, call, or define.
Each time I feel, it is newly mine.
