A Movie in Half Speed

A Video in Slow Motion

A boy will smile at you

A halo practically wreathing his head

You will have to tilt your chin up to fully see him

And suddenly the sky’s only purpose will be

To frame the lines of his face and

Contrast the dark rims of his eyes

The boy will say your name

Like it is the sweetest word

He has ever tasted

And you will shiver

Your skin coated in goose bumps

As everything else disappears

All around you

A brown eyed boy

Is looking your way

The world is slowing down

A movie in half speed

A video in slow motion

Your heartbeats are

Doing the opposite

The brown-haired boy

Is drawing nearer to you

As if the stars have

Woven your fates together

And gravity is on your side

A fear-filled boy

Looked at the ground when he

Passed you in the halls and

Something inside you withered

Like a flower’s petals

The boy from your poems

Started smiling at her and

Began fading away from you

And all that’s left to do is

Write about it

    Beautifully melancholy!!!♥️♥️

  • So sad, even more so for the frequency of its occurrence & how many can relate.
