A Mirrors Reflection
Poetry Collection - 3

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all?
Stranger staring back at me
Who is this that I see?
I don't know you but yet I do
Could it be that I am you?
Hair, eyes, it's all the same
Could it be we share a name?
The world may not tell us apart
But this rings wrong in my heart
You may be my reflection
But as I stand in inspection
I see the mask you use to hide
And I am on the other side
This face and body I see
Standing here before me
Is not who I really am
But more like a big sham
Mirror, mirror from the wall
I stand and watch as you fall
Scattered pieces on the floor
Shattering with a roar
Will I see in your shards
What is the truth by my regards?
Or will it always end to be
This person who is not me?
How do I find out the truth?
Or will it end in loss of youth?
Caged by what society orders
Will I ever escape these borders?
I tried to look inside this mirror
But my vision became not clearer
The truth lies within myself
Not in this mirror on the shelf
Perhaps one day all will see
The person that is really me
