A Lament for What's Lost
A Reflection on Love and Loss.
By Mnqobi ThwalaPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Tears fall like the autumn rain,
My heart is heavy with sorrow's pain.
A void within, a hollow space,
Longing for a warmth that's gone, a loving face.
Memories linger, bittersweet and pale,
Reminding me of joy that's lost, a love that's failed.
The silence is deafening, a lonely refrain,
Echoing through my soul, a sorrow that remains.
In darkness, I search for a glimmer of light,
A respite from the grief that consumes my night.
But like the fleeting stars, hope seems to fade,
Leaving me with tears, a heart that's broken and made.
