A Heart in Ruins
"From Shattered Promises to Self-Reclamation"

She once bloomed like roses in summer's embrace,Soft petals kissed by the golden sun's grace.Laughter danced like a song on the breeze,Her heart untouched, floating with ease.
But love arrived on a storm-colored night,Whispering verses of passion and light.Eyes like constellations, voice like a hymn,She melted, she trusted, she let him in.
He spoke of forever in words spun like lace,Painted her world in colors of grace. He built her a castle in dreams untold,Swore to protect her from nights dark and cold.
Yet, time is a thief with hands made of rust,It crumbled the castle, it shattered her trust.Promises faded like ink in the rain,Leaving behind only echoes of pain.
She watched as he drifted, a shadow, a ghost,The man she had loved now hurt her the most. His voice turned hollow, his touch turned to ice,A stranger stood there in love’s cruel disguise.
She begged the heavens, she screamed to the stars,How love could be gentle, yet leave such deep scars? She traced all the places his fingers once knew,But love had turned into something untrue.
The mirror betrayed her, reflected her grief,A girl now tattered, lost in belief. Her eyes, once shining with innocent dreams,Now drowned in the silence of unheard screams.
She walked through the wreckage, the remnants of trust,Hands filled with ashes, lips tasting dust.No arms to catch her, no whispers remain,Only the echoes repeating his name.
But even in sorrow, in heartache's cruel hand,She found something deeper, a force to withstand. For love may have left her in pieces undone,Yet through all the ruins, she still had her sun.
So she picked up her fragments, stitched them with fire,Built herself back, rose even higher. She no longer needed his promise, his chains,For love that is fleeting is never worth pain.
And though she still carries the ghosts of her past,She walks on, fearless, free at last. Her heart, once broken, now beats in her chest,Stronger than ever, loving herself best.
