Bless you, I heard you sneeze; I hope you are okay

Excuse me while I fumble my kitchen sink of a purse for a mask

Directional wind change; I smell impending sickness near and far

Adjusting mask straps, my taste buds no longer sour of gauze and plastic

Sensible living means I get to live to see the future

Hi! I am a girl without a spleen. Due to a rare benign tumor condition, I had it removed just weeks before Covid hit in 2020. My life has forever adjusted since and I am often seen wearing a mask.
