Who dealt with "the Bear".
In 1917 Finland declared independence after being a Grand Duchy of Russia since 1809 and before that, had been under Swedish rule for 500 years. During the WWII era, Russia attacked Finland twice for no reason other than Finland's refusal to give up part of her land area. Russia is commonly referred to as "the Bear".
