So, here I sit.

so prestine

empedimet of beauty

and grace.

Coolest grandma

because WE play.

A garbage can,

a couple sheets of paper

and creative folding

our paper footballs

are ready to color.

my grandson's

red stripped ball

looked fast and tight.

Mine?

Yellow with black

lightning bolts

on each side.

We were proud.

We were READY!

I showed

my grandbaby

how to flick

and kick his ball.

I practice

shooting at the bucket.

six inches away

no issues.

A foot away

no issues

just giggles.

The thwapping continued

The laughing

silly.

One last punt

I said

and the one

who goes further

gets the

gummybear.

Left hand holding

my yellow and black

paper football.

I pinch

my middle finger

to my thumb

as I count us down.

five, four, three, two, one,

go *thwap*

My middle finger

decided

the wooden block

had to go too.

The conection

was right on point,

but the force

died at impact

and the wooden block stayed.

Sheer pain rose

as the tendon tore

and I stood

in amazement

of my freshly

aquired wound.

A flick

not flipping

someone off

is the reason

for my

middle finger

surgury blues.

I only flicked it,

Not sure I ever engaged in this, but I would like to know more about the medical outcome. ;)
