A Canvas of You
Every Shade of You is a Masterpiece
Your eyes—two galaxies wide,
Holding constellations I wish to reside.
A glimpse, and time forgets to move,
Like waves entranced by the silver moon.
Your laughter—a melody unchained,
A song the wind carries, soft and untamed.
It lingers, it stays, like whispers of spring,
Dancing in echoes only my heart can sing.
The way the sun kisses your skin,
Golden and warm, a story within.
Every shadow bends in grace,
Only to adore your radiant face.
I remember the mornings bathed in light,
Coffee in hand, your dreams taking flight.
Fingers tracing lines on the windowpane,
Drawing tomorrows without refrain.
Even the rain bows down to you,
Soft drizzles weaving love anew.
Droplets shimmer where you stand,
Blessing the earth, the sky, the sand.
You are poetry without words,
A sonnet sung by hummingbirds.
With every breath, a verse you weave,
And I, the reader, never wish to leave.
Tell me, do you know you shine?
That even stars wait in line?
To steal the glow from your embrace,
Yet fail to match your endless grace.
If beauty were a fleeting thing,
I’d fight the gods, I’d break the string.
To keep you here, to let you be,
The muse, the art, the world to me.
