A Butterfly’s Kiss

Sitting on my shoulder

I sat there and wrote the joy of my heart.

The heavy heart flows with sweet feelings of love.

I painted her face with loving words, near my heart.

The pen stopped writing when I saw a colorful butterfly

sitting on my shoulder.

I wanted a kiss, but I was content only looking

at the butterfly with so many shades.

I saw it leave, then embraced the pain

with the utmost feeling of fulfilment.

I fixed my eyes on the sky

and sang her song, all alone.
