A Breath Taking Dawn
Attempted Termination by Toast
By Robert TilfordPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

The start of my journey by day (10 years later)
Started my walk early before dawns light.
The full moon's gaze is all that lit my path.
The dark roads seemed menacing to my sight.
My goals clear I faced the summer nights wraith.
Angry barking dogs, wickedly fast hares.
Desserted back roads and empty fields for miles.
Twisting perceptions gave me several scares.
A fair price for a beautiful girls smile.
She stepped out and almost inhaled her food.
Standing there at dawn I was quite a sight.
Though almost choking kinda killed the mood.
And so this memorable tale I write.
I walked through that summers night into day.
My best friends smile had nothing left to say.
