a drop of black rippled into a sea of red
flowing into the waves of blue that spirals
into shades of silver
that drips down heavy on the crown of gold
heavy it holds
pressing deep like fingerprints into fresh clay
piercing into rough skin
struggling to breath in
keep in the air in my lungs
as my shoulders start to sink i shrug
what would life behold if not a challenge
still i am left hollowed by words
emptier than the dried up lake
my fingers start to shake until i drop everything to the ground
and it shatters and creates a reverberating sound
