5 Emotions I Turned into Verses

Because some feelings speak louder when you write them down

By Fazal HadiPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

1. Joy

A sunrise spills gold on my skin,

and I drink it like a long-lost friend.

Every laugh feels like a lantern,

lifting the night from my chest.

2. Fear

Shadows curl in the corners of my mind,

whispering "you can’t."

But I breathe — slow, steady —

until their voices fade into echoes.

3. Love

Your name is the softest syllable I know,

woven through the pages of my days.

Even silence is full

when you’re in the room.

4. Loss

The chair stays empty.

The air remembers your scent.

Some nights I hold my own hand

just to feel something warm.

5. Hope

A seed breaks the earth,

not knowing if the sun will greet it —

but it grows anyway.

So will I.
