A poem

This place

I’ll tell you about this place

So close there’s no escape

People on all sides forever.

But they don’t see. Don’t let them

Make up your mind.

I’ll tell you of this place.

Cold inside tired body and soul.

Have a breakdown again one day

But maybe I’ll get through today

Take a breath, close your eyes.

I’ll tell you about this place

Most everyone seems to know

As I float through the day.

Seeing and hearing nothing.

I never seem to understand.

If I tell you about this place

Will you believe a word I say

For this seems so unreal

Like a dream. It fades away

School work home to sleep.

And dream there is reality.
