Introduction

While going through Vocal's Poetry tags for some reason. Pantoum caught my eye. I thought I would investigate it and the fifth result is below.

Since I passed 1900 in my Vocal stories, each of the next 106 stories may coincide with years of significance. The Korean War was between 1950 and 1953 so they are significant, and I am using them to share two more pro-peace messages in Pantoum form.

My main experience of the Korean War is the TV program and film "M*A*S*H" which if you have never seen get on it now.

The music is "There's Peace In Korea" by Sister Rosetta Tharpe

There are links at the end if you would like to help those in need.

I always know your stories will have a soundtrack. My Dad fought in WW2, my Grandpa in WW1. Sadly, war follows each generation. I believe we must advocate for justice and peace as much as possible to help prevent this terrible outcome.

    Nice reading this

  • Not just those in the fields but many beyond them as well. Collateral damage is a pleasing phrase for hiding a terrible price.

Really fine and impactful writing, Mike. I love the selection of Sister Rosetta Sharpe for this one. Given the impact her music has had on rock and roll specifically and the music industry more generally, she does not get nearly enough love.
