Without My Muse, I Would Not Be Here

This is my 150th post on Vocal. This year I was scaling down my blog posts which at the highest was one a day for a year. I have posted ninety times on my blog Seven Days In this year, but if you add the 150 I have posted that is still an impressive number of posts.
A lot of these have been poems inspired by my Muse so I think it would be appropriate to celebrate this milestone with a poetic tribute.
I have chosen the lead in music as "Xanadu" by Rush probably my favourite song of theirs and a nod to A Santa Rosa Girl.

There is a spark that always lights my fire
To write, create, words, stories and music
Without that spark, there would be no tunes and
Stories to take you beyond the bright stars
♎♎
To swim seven seas, mermaids to guide us
The queen of the deep, so legendary
Whales. dolphins and sharks, her legionary
Then through Asia Minor so mountainous
♎♎
The riches of the east come to this queen
Her mermaid retinue receives the chests
One hundred and fifty emeralds green
And pearls from Oysters, this world she protects
Her subjects love her, her realm submarine
She scans the horizon. knows what comes next
