Intimate Couple Shoots
In all of my portrait photo shoots, I love it when the subjects are candid and behave as naturally as possible. Many clients are happy to work this way and generally it is easier when shooting couples. They are used to interacting together, and the photographer can become an external body photographing that interaction. Limited direction is usually necessary.

Memories of Madrid. Top Story - December 2019.
Exploring new territory has always been something of a challenge for me. I yearn to see the World and all of the beautiful places within it, but it is also an overwhelming prospect. So whenever I do venture beyond the UK, it is safe to say I am terrified.

Can Smartphones of Today Replace Our DSLR Cameras?
The world of smartphones is undergoing a serious revolution. If you've lived long enough to see those Nokia brick phones, you'll know what I'm talking about. Just look at it yourself: the phones some 15 years ago had small screens, physical keyboards (some qwerty, some those good-old 12345 ones), small batteries and cameras, and no computational power whatsoever.

The Best Cameras for Bloggers
Want to make it in the competitive world of social media and blogging? We all know that to be a successful blogger, you have to be able to take high quality images. Great quality pictures really capture the attention of readers and viewers far better than any slogan or headline and marketers consider images as the most important content type. As a blogger or influencer, you become your own marketing team, with the purpose of attracting people to your page, and therefore you have to think like a marketer too. If you want to capitalise on those clicks and ensure people engage with your feed, pictures really do have to be your first priority. Who wants to read about your outfit of the day if all they can see is a grainy image of your look? Curating a popular blog or Instagram feed is really all about inspiring people and telling a story and in the attention economy, where everyone is vying for the attention of readers and consumers, photography is everything. What’s more, the right camera will make capturing stunning images that sell your content to readers even easier. Here are some of the best cameras for bloggers on the market right now.

Why Are Photo Booths So Popular?
In an age where everyone with a smartphone can take pictures of anything, anywhere, anytime, you’d think photo booths would be an antiquated novelty. After all, they’ve been around since the 1920s when the first coin-operated camera kiosk debuted in Manhattan, developing portraits in eight minutes for the princely sum of 25 cents. Yet photo booths are still here and they’re still as popular as ever.

Into the Wild
Our cameras have four main shooting modes: Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual. But the question that most students I mentor always ask is which priority should I shoot in, especially if it's like an eagle that's soaring above tree tops?

Is Auto-Exposure Good?. Top Story - October 2019.
That is quite a bold statement to make. Especially with the capabilities of RAW files. However, for the moment I am going to ignore RAW files (I will speak about them later on in this article). We all know of photographers from years gone by who didn't have auto exposure and took phenomenal images on film. To name a few: Fan Ho, Don McCullin, Ira Block, Annie Leibovitz, and Steve McCurry. They are in no particular order, but they all started shooting without digital cameras, and without auto-exposure. All their most distinctive shots have been taken without auto-exposure and on film.

Think Pink - Kodak Aerochrome Film Reimagined for the Digital Age
Think Pink - Kodak Aerochrome Film Reimagined For The Digital Age Before digital photography's complete upheaval of the photography industry, Kodak's Aerochrome was a popular infrared film that produced a distinctive pink where there should have been green. The particular effect created by this film transforms a traditional landscape shot into a magenta and crimson wonderland.
