How cute is he!

Meet Gnocchi, my beloved English Bulldog, who has a larger-than-life personality packed into a squat, muscular frame. Gnocchi is obsessed with an array of peculiar things: from balls that he chases with the enthusiasm of a puppy, to plush sloths that he cuddles with as if they were his best friends. He’s even got a thing for pool noodles, which he drags around the house like they’re his prized possessions. But above all, Gnocchi’s greatest love is food. This boy is always hungry, no matter how elaborate or frequent his meals.

Feeding Gnocchi has always been a bit of an adventure. He’s had a set routine for as long as I can remember: freeze-dried lamb jerky kibble, which, as you can imagine, is far too rich to be served as an entire meal on its own. To balance it out, I’ve had to supplement it with white rice, fresh tilapia, and sweet potato. Sure, Gnocchi adored this mix, but it was an ordeal to prepare, especially during those hectic weekday mornings when I’m scrambling to get out the door. Not only was it time-consuming, but it also made it tricky for anyone else to take over feeding duties if I wasn’t around. Despite my best efforts, every time I tried to introduce a new, simpler meal option, Gnocchi’s sensitive stomach would protest, and we’d be right back to our complex routine.

English Bulldogs, as charming as they are, come with their own set of health challenges. They’re prone to issues like allergies, sensitive stomachs, and skin conditions, particularly in their characteristic wrinkles and folds. Gnocchi is no exception. Over the years, we’ve had our fair share of vet visits due to red paws, irritated face folds, and the occasional bout of gastrointestinal distress. So, when I was introduced to Ollie’s fresh food delivery service, I was cautiously optimistic.

In his comfy spot with his favorite food.

Our first Ollie shipment arrived, and my expectations were immediately surpassed. The meals were neatly packaged, fitting perfectly into my tiny NYC apartment freezer, which is a big win, considering how little space I have. No more wrestling with bulky bags of kibble or worrying about how to store all the supplementary ingredients. The lamb and cranberry recipe was what we decided to try first, and I have to say, it looked so fresh, you could see actual pieces of cranberry mixed in. Plus, it didn’t have that off-putting smell that some dog foods tend to have. It was almost like preparing a gourmet meal that I was used to preparing for Gnocchi, just with a lot less effort.

You can tell he's excited to eat when he licks his face like this!

But the benefits didn’t stop at his newfound enthusiasm for mealtime. After just a few days on Ollie, I started noticing subtle yet significant changes in Gnocchi’s health. His poops were consistent and healthy, which was a huge relief. His red paws and irritated face folds, which had been persistent issues, began to clear up. It was as if Ollie’s fresh, well-balanced meals were exactly what his body needed.

Switching to Ollie hasn’t just made Gnocchi’s life better, it’s made mine easier too. No more spending 15 minutes every morning piecing together his complicated breakfast. Now, it’s as simple as opening a package, pouring it into his bowl, and watching him enjoy every bite. And with perfectly portioned meals, I don’t have to worry about him gaining too much weight, which had been a concern when I was trying to balance his old diet. Gnocchi and I are thrilled with Ollie, and I’m looking forward to trying more of their products. It’s clear that Ollie is a game-changer for Gnocchi’s health and happiness and for my peace of mind.

I can relate to the struggle of finding the right food for a picky pet. Gnocchi sounds like quite the character! It's a pain when their sensitive stomachs make it hard to switch things up. I'm curious, did Ollie's food solve all the issues? And how did Gnocchi react to the new meals right off the bat?
