The Cat Food Wars are Over
When JJ, my $3,000 street rescue, took me hostage in 2005 she was possibly six months old and pregnant. After she had her litter of five, I began feeding her tiny cans of Fancy Feast because those hungry little fiends were sucking the calories out of her as fast as she could inhale them. If either my partner or I moved in the general direction of the kitchen, a gray blur would whip past us and if we actually went into the kitchen we would find Miss JJ on the counter on her hind legs with her front paws on the cupboard door.

How To Take Care Of Your Dog When It’s Hot?
Man’s best friend has always been there for us, and we need to always be there for them too. Our dogs rely on us solely for all their nutrition, exercise, social and bonding needs. And while they may only be around for a short part of our lives, to them, we are 100% of their lives. When taking care of our pups while traveling together around the world, managing their comfort by keeping the temperature down during hotter weather should be high on your priority list.

Dog Food Health Risks
I have struggled with my dog for the past 13 years regarding her diet. She has a very sensitive digestive system and is always having issues if she eats the wrong thing. She was never happy with dry food, only wet food, so I fed her Purina and Alpo and any other food that was supposed to be good... until she stopped eating it. She was seven, and she had blood in her stool and would not eat, so off we went to the vet. She was diagnosed with colitis, and I was told she was allergic to grain. I began making her food at home, using hamburger well-drained, carrots, and brown rice. She did well on the food, but she was gaining a lot of weight.

How to Store Your Dog or Cat Food Properly
When dog food is made, it may have oil added to it from animal fat, sometimes even sprayed onto it to add to the flavor and aroma so that dogs find it more palatable. This oil can potentially become rancid from exposure to high temps and it will also become out of date and stale from air exposure. Here are some ideas to help your dog food last longer and taste better to your dog.

Why I Made the Switch to Fresh Cat Food and Why I’ll Never Go Back. Top Story - November 2018. Created with: Smalls.
It was 3 AM. I had been dreaming a nice little dream, then I rolled over and promptly woke up. Once again, my cat Molly decided it was time to throw up her dinner on my pillow and I had the unpleasant surprise of waking up with spit-up on my cheek. It was the third time this month.

Frozen Dog Treat Recipes That Will Cool Your Dog Off This Summer
Summer is both bitter and sweet. We're melting from the heat, but we get to enjoy sweet, frozen treats to cool us down! I'm a sucker for ice cream and even though I eat it all year round, I binge eat the frozen treat in the summer literally every day. Yes, it cools me down, but it's the delicious flavors that I mainly enjoy.

An Honest Review...
Recently, my family and I got ourselves a new, four-legged addition to the family. Our "Beast" (which is what we named him) is now 130-pounds of ruff, and he's only 1.5 years old. So you can imagine how much money we had "budgeted" into their food cost (like... $20). Working in the veterinary field has opened my eyes to what veterinary professionals consider good quality food versus "you don't know what you're really getting" food. I can talk about this subject for four more posts, but I promised (in the subtitle) to keep this relatively short(er).

Peanut Butter Doggo Treats
My dog, a sweet little ten-pound terrier, was nearly out of treats (GASP!). I do not currently have a car, so grocery visits are limited to a need basis when it comes to forking out for a Lyft. I debated ordering via Amazon Prime, but I often read recipes online for dogs, and decided to try my hand. Worse case scenario, they suck and I order them anyway, right?
