INTRODUCTION As much as I love my pet, I also understand the responsibility that comes with owning one. From the moment I brought them home from the shelter, I knew that I had to provide them with the best care and attention they would ever need. I have to make sure they are fed, taken out to exercise and given plenty of love and attention. My pet has become such an integral part of my life that I can't imagine my days without them.

The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. The circle of panes sat high on the wall, six wheel-spokes poking out from a round hub at its center. Alexis, a 23-year-old American girl, has adopted a cute little pig and even sleeps in the same bed with him, Metro UK reported. Alexis has wanted a pet pig for as long as she can remember, and now her dream has come true after she adopted an eight-week-old mixed-breed pig named Petunia in April. The 16.3kg pig sleeps next to his owner at night and even has a room all to himself. Alexis said: "I was fascinated by Petunia. He sleeps with me a few nights a week. At first I wasn't used to it. Petunia liked to steal my pillow and lean against me, so I couldn't move. I had to push it away. Petunia's body is much warmer than a human's, but he doesn't like baths and is afraid of them, so I wash him down outdoors with soap. A lot of people thought I was crazy, especially when I let a pig sleep in my bed."

Farewell My Friend
The most difficult part of today was pulling my car into the driveway. As I shifted the gear into park, I too was planted, and unable to move. In my heart, I wanted to believe that when I walked through the door that you would be there to greet me. You could always tell I was home from the second I pulled into the driveway, and would go ballistic running back and forth from my mom’s room to the door, “He’s Home! He’s Home!!!” After fumbling with my keys for a few seconds the door would open and you would leap into my arms. I would drop everything to just sit down on the floor with you right then and there. I loved the way you would curl into a ball, and cozy yourself into my lap. Every day you filled my heart with so much love and joy.

I Will See You In the Morning
It was always a treasure to wake up next to my dog, Monique, every morning, minutes before she woke up from her peaceful slumber. She was always curled up in a little ball, Paws or paw covering her eyes to block the sunlight from kissing her eyelids. There was something, harmonious, about watching her sleep. It's not hard to describe, but I feel like no words can truly express the amount of security, relief, happiness and, I suppose, meaning there was there saw; gifted just by her presents alone.
