The Love of My Life
I know there are many out there who will say, "but it's just a dog." Firstly, "it's" a "he," and secondly, there's no such thing as "just a dog." I believe there's no such thing as "just" any sort of animal, actually. They all have remarkable personalities; cows listen to music and turkeys like hugs. But for me, my little slice of family comes in the shape of a Jack Russell Terrier. Cooper is not big or brilliantly behaved or even particularly nice to everyone. But he's mine. And through no choice of my own...I'm his. This little dog who doesn't even stand as high as my wellies and who weighs in at quite a hefty stone and a bit has become a torch for me. When I cry, he licks my tears, and when he is filled with joy on his beach walk, do you know what he does? About 100 metres away, he turns around, grins at me, and like a tiny missile, hurls himself from wherever he is, straight into my knees. This is love.

Things Pets Do That Make Us Wanna Rip out Our Hair
Animals are a small part of what makes life better, whether it's from a funny online video that make Monday better; or coming home to their adorable faces, there is always something they can do to make us feel better. This is most true for dogs in my household, which currently holds three rescue dogs. They are the highlight of my days and the joy of everything, but things aren't always perfect with them. It amazes me how much trouble these three can get into just in one day, but how they still manage to captivate and steal my heart every day. Nala’s Thoughts
I find myself wondering quite a bit about what my dog (Nala) thinks about. Like what goes on in her head when she finds her bone underneath the couch or when she runs around in circles in the middle of the living room or even when she lays down next to me for the six hours that I work every day. She’s got a big personality, so I’m positive that she doesn’t have boring thoughts. Cuddles and Tough Stuff
Back in 2004, I was working for Head Start. I had three sons of my own at the time. Their ages were four, three, and one. We had to disinfect all the toys after work. My sons would go home where their grandma and dad would watch them. I had to stay to clean. One night, I had to do that alone without any other staff helping and I was there quite late. It was dark by the time I was done.

10 Dog Training Myths to Ignore
When it comes to dog training, there's a lot of work to be put into it. Doesn't matter at what age; small pup or senior, training a dog takes a lot of patience and dedication to have your dog learn a bunch of new tricks and skills. If you're willing to properly train your dog, you have to be on top of it. This doesn't mean slack and refrain from supporting your dog. It's all about being on top of your game and allowing your dog to be exposed to really cool tricks!
