Dog Adoption
There have been plenty of difficult and emotional times over the last twelve months. The effects of COVID-19 are affecting everyone in some way and to some extent. One of the saddest revelations from lockdown was Dog’s Trust reporting a significant increase in people giving up their rescue dogs when lockdown restrictions were originally eased in August and owners realised they couldn’t fully commit to their dog, whether it was dealing with their allergies or needing sensitive stomach dog food, their unique behaviours, or needing socialisation.

The Adventures of Kitty and Daisy
Liz was mourning the loss of her best friend Gingles. A beautiful collie husky dog that she had for many years. Her father adopted Gingles from the animal control as a puppy. Gingles had a unique look on her. She had beautiful thick long golden-brown fur with light brown husky and collie markings on her face and a white diamond on her chest. Gingles went everywhere with Liz, camping, and at one time when she was working out of a trailer for a bit, Gingles was right there by her side. When Gingles became older, she was in a lot of pain and could not walk up the stairs.

Potbellied pigs are loose in the streets!
You've seen all the posts online of celebs with teacup pigs. You've seen how girls go crazy over how adorable they are. After asking around, you discover they are pretty low maintenance and cheap to own, after the 1200-5600 dollar price tag, depending on your area. Excited, you do a search for a local breeder in your area, you connect and you buy yourself your very own "max 25 pound" babe magnet. The breeder informs you the pig only requires 1/4 cup of food a day and isn't anymore messy than a dog or cat and you think, "This is great!"

Emma's Adoption Adventure - And Tips For Your Own Adventure!
My boyfriend and I have wanted a dog for a very, very long time. We lived together in an apartment with no *new* pets allowed. Those who had pets already when this took place could keep them. So we were basically taunted when we would see them walking their dogs. Finally, we closed on a house in August of this year. One of the first orders of business, I knew, would be to get a dog. After applying through multiple shelters, both local and long distance, we finally got an appointment to see some dogs on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

Hi my name is Apis. I am two years old. I'm a Pembroke Corgi/Pit Bull mixed, and I was adopted from the ASPCA aka "the pound". My Mommy and Daddy adopted me on April 3, 2020 and I must say, it was one of the best days of my life. I have everything a little handsome pooch such as myself could ever want or need. The biggest thing I have with my new parents,,,, LOVE.😁
