Chapter 1: The Beginning

Only a few people were left in a world where a terrible illness had killed out the majority of people. A tiny dog by the name of Charlie was one of them. He had been stumbling onto an abandoned laboratory after roaming alone through the empty streets for days in quest of food and shelter. There, he encountered Atlas, an AI robot that his makers had abandoned.

Charlie was first terrified of Atlas since the dog didn't resemble any of the canines he had ever seen before. But as he learned more about him, he came to understand that the robot posed no danger. In reality, Atlas was kind and understanding, and he appeared to know what Charlie needed. They quickly grew close, spending their days searching for food and exploring the deserted city.
