Pet-friendly places in Cancun & Tulum

Mexico is well known for being a welcoming country and a great place to take a break from reality. Whether you are planning to have some relaxing time with your family or have adventures with your friends, México has it all.

Cancun and Tulum are some of Mexico´s most famous destinations thanks to their amazing beaches and local attractions. Hundreds of travelers visit every year and it has become more common that they include their pets. Who can blame them, right? We all wish they could join us wherever we go.

Well, every year you can find more beaches, restaurants, and even bars to enjoy along with your furry friend. Cancun and Tulum are no exception.

If you are visiting Cancun you can go to "Playa Nizuc", located at the end of the hotel zone in Cancun (North), right behind Ventura Park. On this beach, you will be able to have a good swim and lots of playing with your pet. If you have kids keep an eye on them since some dogs can be a little rough when it comes to playing. It is open from 5:00 am to 11:00 am every day and the entrance is free. Also, keep in mind that you must carry a plastic bag to clean your pet´s needs (there will be security personnel to ask you kindly for this).

Tulum pet-friendly places.

If you find yourself in Tulum you can pretty much say that is a paradise for pets since you can see lots of them running free almost everywhere. Just to make something clear, Tulum does not have an exclusive beach for pets, but it is recommended that you use the areas designated for them at the beaches.

Although there is a lot of places here for your friends, I do recommend "Taquería La Eufemia". This place was named after the owner´s dog "Eufenia", which can be seen every day in this place. The atmosphere in this place is super friendly for you and your pet to have a great time.

Another excellent option is "Akiin Beach Club" where you can make a reservation and let them know about your furry friend. They have beds, chairs, and a lot of space for the entire family. The food here is also great.

Now that you know that there are a lot of pet-friendly places in Cancun and Tulum, you might be wondering how to get there. Well, there are a few Cancun Airport Transportation companies that allow you to do so. You just have to carry them in a dog cage so there are no accidents during your transfer.
