Well, had to say a painful goodbye to my furry friend Snookie on December 4, 2021.

We knew that it was a matter of time when the vet told us. It could be weeks, days, or months for you will pass away.

You had a kidney diease.

The weeks when on and it seem that you are were getting better. You were very happy to run down the street to our house.

Then it happened. You started to sleep a lot and did not want to eat the special food that we paid for to keep you on this planet Earth. It would be table food for the rest of your life. It seems that every time I looked at your water bowl it was empty so we knew that you were drinking water and walking a lot.

We still held out hope that you would be with us for a long time.

You had a good life. You were part of this family life for 16 years. You moved with us when we went to Florida 6 years ago. You loves were the sun of Florida, going to the dog park in the golf cart. It was something about the wind in your hair you loved. Everyone loved your lion haircut because you were the princess of our neighborhood.

Then it happened you got weaker and we knew that it was the kidney disease that you had taking the toll on your little body but we didn't know that your heart was getting weaker because of the issue that you ha

You started your journey to the rainbow bridge in late December 3, 2021, at 10:30 pm. We looked for an emergency vet that was open. We found one and took you there. It was the longest night of

our life with you. We put you in your favorite blanket and carried you to the car. You didn't seem to mind this ride in the car this time. It was like you were telling us that my journey will be over soon. It was a foggy night that night. It seems like Scooby doo movie scene. We were on a dark road in the fog trying to find this vet.

We found the vet. Time stood still when they took you in the back to be checked out. They did the blood work and it wasn't good news. We would be told what we needed to do for you.

We knew in our hearts that you wouldn't want to be treated that way.

We decided what was best for you to let you go over that rainbow bridge.

They took you in the back to start the process.

I held you in my arms as we said our goodbye.

You took a flight to the rainbow bridge. You closed your eyes and off you when to the bridge. In your favorite blanket, you are out of pain.

There was a hole in our hearts when we left the emergency vet. We saw the bright star in the sky that night and we knew that star was you.

Snookie, all toys, blankets, and beds were given to the SPCA in memory of you. You made many pets happy for Christmas.

You were the best pet that anyone could have. You love us and you loved you back with all your heart.

We hope that you are making many new friends over the rainbow bridge and I know that you must with your family members that have gone before you. We miss you every day but we know you out of pain.

Love your human family.
