Poodle Power
The Grand Tour . . . and a Puppy It was 1957, Europe was still recovering from the devastation of World War II, when my husband and I took a delayed honeymoon to Europe. We were on the “Grand Tour” as it was called in those days. We boarded the Queen Elizabeth in New York City, disembarked in Le Havre and visited Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and Turkey. Our last stop was to be Paris, the plan - to bring home a French Poodle puppy.

What's up! My name is JK Growling and in case you did not know I am the king of all dogs. I mean honestly you will not find a better dog than me. But that is not what you wanted to talk to me about is it? Let me finish chasing my tail and I will be right with you...Oh yeah, chasing your tail is the best it even beats poppin' a squat there at your feet. You may wonder how it is possible for me to talk. Well as I said before I am no ordinary dog. Truth be told dogs have been talking all this time. You just never paid attention. Which is not surprising humans never pay attention much. If you have skin problems and are not able to visit a veterinarian, you should consider visiting an animal dermatology clinic in Vancouver. You may feel uneasy visiting the clinics that are run by people with no veterinary training. That is why you should make sure that the clinic you choose has a vet who is certified. This will ensure that your animals are taken care of properly and that your skin issues will be dealt with accordingly.

Roxie the raccoon who was really a “cat.”
Yup that is how I was introduced to this furball, the box read RACOON, I was so excited and sad at the same time. See a few years back I had received a kitten barely a few weeks old, who came to my home and tore the place apart unintentionally on his first day there. Because I thought he had gotten lost under the sink wood plank. He did not but the plank was now broken. Anyway, this is for another day. I had to give him up after a year, and so I swore I would never get a pet again, it was too heartbreaking.

The Lecture: A Reflection
Over the weekend, I conducted a “virtual” lecture on Discord where I talked about the future of modern facilities like SeaWorld, and the benefits behind close-contact interactions for animals in zoological settings. Before we got started on the subject, I introduced myself to my “virtual” audience, how I got involved with marine mammals, and what I was now up to. Then, we proceeded with our conversation: the benefits of waterworks and other close-contact interactions between zoo professionals and their animals.

Why is the dog crying? Is it because of sadness?
Seeing a dog crying because of the owner's scolding is very sad, and it makes people feel very distressed. Fortunately, the owner's sadness to watch the dog cry and comfort him! In retrospect, with the development of the Internet in recent years, I have also heard a lot of news about dogs crying. For example, dogs crying in the owner’s grave after the death of foreign owners, and bitches crying after their babies were born but did not survive. I have a question in my heart for a long time, is it really sad for a dog to shed tears?
