The Day That I Lost My Bunny Was the Saddest Day of My life
In March of last year, my girlfriend and I bought the sweetest little creature that has ever walked the earth. A bunny named Billy, but after only a couple of hours, we renamed him Snoeffie, which we thought suited him better.

Something That Goes Unnoticed
Being a vet tech isn't easy. In fact, it's the complete opposite. Reality is harsh and ugly: the conditions are bad. The salary is borderline insulting (did you know the average vet tech, with the same academic degree, makes approximately half of a nurse's hourly wage?), lunch breaks aren't a thing, finding time to drink water or go to the bathroom is a struggle, clients like to use us as their personal punching bag, and the recognition is near zero.

EmPawyee My Beloved Fury Friend For my Nina Simone
EmPawyee My Beloved Furry Friend For my Nina Simone I write this story with my eyes filled with tears and an ache in my heart because she is not with me now. My precious fury friend came into my life one year after I had a miscarriage on the exact same date, Christmas Eve. A night that unfortunately still six years later I find difficult to handle. We spotted her on a Facebook page for sale, she was four weeks old and the size of my hand and the most beautiful Blue Healer I had ever seen, I knew from that moment that she was the one that I had to have, out of a precious litter of fur -babies. We named you Nina Simone after my favorite jazz singer and just like the amazing jazz singer Nina Simone, you entered my life full of personality and zip.

Loki
We drove out of the city to the breeder. We’d seen the photos of all the pups. They were sweet, but only one was ours. We loved him, anxiously awaiting the day we would hold him. The name had been chosen beforehand, and as we passed him between us little did we know how perfect the name would be.

Our Pack. Top Story - August 2021.
My girlfriend and I came together ten years ago not knowing where our lives would take us. Never did either of us imagine the amount of fur we'd later surround ourselves with. Both of us had pets growing up and have a love for animals that runs deep. They are not just our pets, but our babies. The deal we make with them is very important to us. If you join our pack and share with us your unconditional love then we will provide for you all that we can and put your needs above our own. Our four dogs and two cats deliver on their promise with each passing moment and so do we. Let me tell you about them.

I Love My Job
I love my job, because I change a life every day. Sometimes several lives, but always one life, mine. My job is crazy busy. I always wake to a dozen text messages, and voice mails. Then I make the mistake of turning on the computer where there are a couple of dozen emails. That is when I remind myself that I’m retired and this is my fun, fill my days, job. Turn off the phone, shut down the computer and head for either the stable and/or the kennel. Then bury my face into the first fur baby I come to. Breath in deeply, drawing in all their kindness and unconditional love and remember I love my job.

I Want To Speak WithThe Manager
I’ve always loved Cocker Spaniels. My mother always loved Cocker Spaniels. Be they American or English. We came from Ireland, where English Cocker Spaniels were the breed we knew. I didn’t really know them back then before we moved to Canada. I was too young. By the time we reached Canada, I was nearly old enough to know about Cocker Spaniels. And, the second I became of requisite age, we had a Cocker Spaniel. But this was an American Cocker Spaniel. And he was a beauty. I named him ‘Rory’ which, in Irish, means “Red King”, for so his golden coat was smattered with errant puffs of a sunset red.
