Well That Went Well
I am a Pug lover, and as a pug lover, I have been owned by Pugs since I was Twenty. So, after years of being owned by Pugs, you begin to brag about how wonderful they are and how much fun they can be, as well as how quirky they can be, as well as the energy bursts, the figure-eight poop, the pee trot you see where I'm going with this.

The impossible task of raising a husky
When my my partner and I announced the arrival of our new family member most responses were positive but a few were, well, hesitant. Of all possible dog breeds, why would we choose a husky? They're known for being stubborn, talkative, and very high energy. The easiest answer was "we've both wanted a husky since we were children." My first Nintendog was a husky named Damon, which stood as evidence that our statement was true. The answer people understood less was "all of those things are exactly why we wanted a husky."

The Big Show. First Place in Life Unleashed Challenge.
“You can have the pick of the litter,” they said. “Great,” I replied. “What does that mean?” It meant that my parents had successfully arranged a romantic encounter with our Labrador retriever and their friend’s female Lab. Both dogs had pedigrees and were beautifully black. The reward for this marriage? A five year old, that’s me, got to choose any puppy she wanted. The cutest one would belong to me and no one else. A little girl’s dream come true.

Calling
I opened my eyes and found myself sitting in darkness. Slightly dazed and confused, I tried to remember where I was and how I got there. I felt the soft, velvet fuzz of the couch on my fingers and realized I was home. I must have fallen asleep watching TV, I thought to myself as I tried to search for the remote control. Feeling my way around, I found it and anxiously pressed all the buttons on top hoping to turn on the TV. Nothing. “Maybe the power went out,” I whispered into the darkness as if expecting a response. Instead the echo of my voice made the room feel bigger and emptier than what it was. I felt a deep sense of loneliness and fear that I hadn’t had in years.

MY STORY ABOUT DOGS
Dogs bring so much joy and happiness to our lives. They are part of our family. They are so therapeutic. As a lonely teenager growing up in the mid-nineties, I longed for a dog companion. Due to my dyspraxia, I felt strongly that a dog would be ideal to overcome some of the problems I was facing. In 1993, I was diagnosed with dyspraxia. At school, I struggled to make friends and was often misunderstood. Dogs made me calmer. It was a great diversion from the problems I faced at the time. I felt dogs could understand and connect better with me whilst I interacted with them directly.

Lucky
First, she was lucky to be born, because in the wild world, where cats are not appreciated and where are no shelters, there is a rare chance to be born. The kitten was born on a backyard of a big barn, where people stored seasonal crops for sale. There was a rare chance to survive in the wild world, while on the backyard, it made the whole difference. From time to time the kitten’s mom had nice food and always a place that covered them from weather, dogs, mean people and the kitten didn’t learn the dangers. Surrounded by her mom and siblings, just as in kitten’s paradise, she was twice as lucky as most of the other cats in the wild world.
