Pit Bull or Pitiful Breed?
When people think of Pit bull they think one of two things: dog or danger. It is commonly perceived that the Pit bull breed, or Staffordshire Terrier, is more aggressive and prone to act more violently compared to other breeds. On the other hand, Pit bull owners, or dog lovers in general, will argue that Pit bulls are like any dog breed and deserve to be perceived the same as any other dog breed. Some possible reasons for the belief that Pit bulls are aggressive may include past experiences and/or simply a general misconception. Those who think Pit bulls are like any dog breed may have a positively connotated first-hand relationship or experience. Yet, discrimination is real and it affects many.

Why Are You Ranking: Best Scenes of Dogs in Wes Anderson Films Listed from Bark to Bite
In the world of a Wes Anderson movie, you never quite know what you’re going to get. Sure, you can bet on the distinguished color palette, the classic rock songs, the damaged characters, and at least, in a few of his films, a scene with a dog (or few). In his opus Isle of Dogs (2018), as the name implies, canines take center stage. But you’re not quite certain whether they will be hurt mercilessly or even killed. Mr. Anderson’s alleged track record has been to exhibit the pain and death inflicted on pooches. He interweaves into his narratives the possibility for a dog or dogs to find themselves at a crossroads between life and death. Like a deranged kennel keeper, some would say, Wes Anderson pits his furry characters against other humans and each other, if there are more than one in a scene.

Furry Friends
One Sunday morning, I was awoken by the buzzing of what seemed to be my phone. I answered, only to hear my sister excitedly beg me to wake up. She had asked I get ready and go with her to pick up a furry little gift whom she’d be surprising her husband and daughter with. Without hesitation, I agreed! Who wouldn't want to go see newborn pups?! Twenty minutes later she arrived at my house and I hopped in the car, and there we were driving thirty minutes out of the city to meet our newest family member. As we pulled into the lovely, quiet community her friend lived in, I kept reminding myself that I was here to help her bring ONE puppy home. Little did I know I was going to walk into a living room full of cute, furry little adventurers that were ready to steal my heart!

Discovering My Dog’s Personality
Growing up, I always thought that dogs acted all the same; dogs were categorized as playful, loyal, and loving. Most dogs are but I was unaware that some had attitude (asides from Chihuahuas) or will find a way to be heard. I grew up in a Mexican household where dogs were not allowed inside the house. The family dogs we had were kept outside and I was unable to get to know them. Keeping your dog outside prevents an owner to grow a deep connection with their dog. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the owner does not love their pet but it’s very hard to create a deep connection since you ’re unable to see their reaction to things, their way of communicating, or their thought process.
